Terms and Conditions for the "Keren Idan" Website
Last updated: December 2024
Section I: Identification of the Trust Fund
The trust fund established under this agreement is named "Keren Idan".
Section II: Purpose of the Trust Fund
The fund is dedicated to providing financial support to children orphaned from both parents in the terror attack on October 7, 2023. It is intended as a savings fund for these children, which will be accessible to them at the age of 21. The fund operates alongside governmental support available to children up to the age of 18. The savings will be transferred to the children at the age of 21 and are earmarked for education, business establishment, or home purchase. By age 30, the fund ends, and any remaining funds will be transferred to the children without restrictions.
Section III: Donation Process
-
Joining the Initiative: Potential donors are invited to fill out the registration form at www.KerenIdan.co.il. After completing the form, bank account details will be provided to set up a standing order for consistent contributions. Donors are also requested to email proof of the standing order to Kerenidan107@gmail.com.
-
Donation Amount and Duration: Each donor is asked to contribute a fixed monthly amount of 33 NIS (linked to the Consumer Price Index) for each chosen child.
The recommended donation period is 15 years to achieve the set financial goal for each child. Donors can cancel their standing order at any time. However, the goal is to accumulate approximately 600,000 NIS per child during this period. Multiple donors will contribute to each child’s fund to meet the target savings.
-
One-Time Donations: The fund also accepts one-time donations, which will be added to the general pool for the chosen child or family and contribute directly to the fund's overall goals.
Section IV: Donor Rights and Obligations
-
Donor Commitment: Donors are encouraged to maintain a standing order to ensure consistent monthly contributions. While donors can cancel at any time, the fund encourages full-term commitment to maximize financial support for the children.
-
Cancellation of Donations: Donors may cancel their standing orders at any time via their bank. No explanations are required, and there will be no negative implications for future donations.
-
Confidentiality and Privacy: The fund is committed to maintaining donor confidentiality and protecting the beneficiaries’ privacy. All sensitive information is securely stored and handled according to protection standards.
Section V: Allocation and Use of Funds
-
Fund Management: The fund is managed by IBI Investment House, under legal supervision by Firion & Co. Law Firm and Orlitzky & Co. Accountants. All involved in managing the fund do so voluntarily and without compensation.
-
Access to Funds: Beneficiaries can access the funds only upon reaching the age of 21 and solely for the purposes stipulated by the fund. Any unclaimed funds by the age of 30 will be released unconditionally to the beneficiary.
Section VI: Governance and Compliance
-
Non-Profit Status: The fund is registered as a personal trust fund managed by IBI.
All funds are allocated directly to the children without administrative costs.
-
Initiative Leadership: The fund was initiated by Tsachi Knaan, a clinical dietitian from Ramat Gan, who volunteered to lead this project.
-
Ethical and Legal Compliance: The fund guarantees that 100% of the donations will benefit the children, ensuring ethical management and adherence to all relevant laws and regulations. Legal disputes will be handled exclusively by courts in Israel.
-
Alternate Trustees: Substitute trustees will be appointed if the original trustees are unable to serve.
-
Tax Implications: Donations to the fund do not qualify for tax credits. Donors are not required to submit a tax report for their contributions.
Section VII: Miscellaneous
-
Adoption of Multiple Families: Donors can support multiple families. Once 100 donors are secured for one family, the initiative will move on to the next.
-
Restrictions for American Citizens: American citizens are not eligible to donate.
-
Transparency and Reporting: The fund commits to clear accounting and reporting procedures, ensuring full transparency regarding fund usage. Periodic reports will be sent to donors via email, subject to their consent.
-
Family Involvement: The families of the orphans, particularly guardians, are aware of and support the project but do not participate in fund management or decision-making regarding fund allocation.
-
Future Expansion: Initially, the fund focuses on supporting the Idan family, with plans to assist other families in the future until all orphaned children receive support.
-
